Love Today Planner Update | Stampin Up

Happy Monday!

I hope you have started the week off on the right foot! It was a pretty boring weekend in our house but sometimes that's nice. I planned on getting so much done but YouTube and I were just not getting along which is why there was no video this week! I've pretty much given up for now so I'll save the video for later this week. Hopefully we can make up and be friends :)

For today, I wanted to give a little update on how it's been using our new Love Today Planner. I've been using it for a few months now and feel like I have a pretty good handle on how I like it.

To start, I've really changed how use this planner from when I started. And I think that's what it's all about. When I started, I planned on this being my work planner and that's still what it is. But I was putting all of my non-work appointments in here as well so I could plan LMC stuff around it.

Now this isn't horrible and for some people, this may be the only planner they use. But for me, I have an Erin Condren Life Planner that I use on the daily so it really became more work than it was worth. I've now converted the planner to only have my work items in it. And I can tell you I am 100 times happier with it. And I use it more than I was before.

To entice myself to use it, I like to keep it pretty simple. I keep log of the blog posts and videos I have planned. I use sticky notes to mark where I plan on scheduling an item before I actually start doing it and making it a thing. This works really well for me because I am constantly moving things around to accommodate other things going on in my life.

Once I decide something is actually going to happen on that day, I'll write it down using my Sharpie Pens (which I LOVE) and that means it's really going to happen. At least that's the plan ;)

One of my favorite things about this planner, aside from the colors and quality, is the beginning and end of each month. The planner features these pages that really allow me to plan and track what I want to do for that month. I especially love the page right before the month. It really becomes my dashboard for the month and where I start planning everything that is going on.

Now there has only been one thing that I haven't loved about this planner so far. And it's the rings. Or that's what I'm blaming it on at least. As I started working through this planner and had a few months in the front of the book that were in the past, I notice it becoming harder and harder to flip to the page I wanted really easily. It seemed like the thickness of the pages were getting stuck on the rings and it was just annoying. It wasn't like I couldn't just take another second and split the pages to move them but it was a little annoying.

My solution now, is that once I am done with a month, I just take all of the pages and move them to the very end of my planner. This seems to work for now especially since I don't find myself going back to previous months too frequently.

All in all, I have to say I have really been loving this planner. I still use my Life Planner for everything outside of LMC but it's really nice to have 1 area that I dedicate to my business and have everything all in once place.
