So in case you haven't noticed, I have a series I'm going to be doing! And let's just say I am SUPER excited about it! Since I am trying to keep memories for all the little things that happen in life, I am creating this series to keep myself accountable for doing it. Or thats the goal at least :)
My post last week was the first time I had worked on that album for a little while but I really enjoyed it. It's nice to take a step back and remember the silly little things that happen on a daily basis. Those are the memories I want to remember.
So here we are! And this week's pages really show the "little things" :)
Before we get into the details, here are all of the products I used for this page:
This page is pretty simple, just a couple of cards, a couple of pictures and some stickers. So I feel like it's pretty self explanatory.
The interesting thing is why I wanted to put these in the album. Two small little things that don't seem like much to anyone else but for us, they were awesome. For our name, there is this little nook right when you walk in the door and it was just so empty. From the second I saw it, I knew I wanted to put our last names or something to really make it pop. When we finally got around to doing it, I spent at least an hour getting the thing cut on my Cricut and then pieced it together which we thought was the hard part. Once my husband decided to climb up and stick it up there, it was a whole different set of challenges. We couldn't get it straight, the pieces were falling apart, it wouldn't stick to the wall. Just one thing after another. But we figured it out. And it will always be something we laugh and joke about. Although it wasn't too funny in the moment :)
The other picture is from a late night project I decided to do while my husband was working late one night. I had seen something like it a million times before but never did anything in our house. It was a late night, I could tell my husband was having a bad day and probably wasn't going to be home anytime soon. So as I was getting ready for bed, I decided to hold off and spend a little time putting it up on our wall. When he strolled into the house at 2 AM, it was nice reminder as to why we work so hard. And that there will always be an end to the day no matter how rough it is.
So as I said, these pages are pretty simple, just a few cards and a couple of stickers but the meaning behind them is something I want to remember forever.
